***Update October 2022*** -  

Dr. Teliki's medical practiced closed as of Jan 28, 2022. Dr. Teliki and Nova Scotia Health (NSH) were not able to recruit any short- or long-term coverage for his patients. We (Leighton Team) are a separate practice from Dr. Teliki and are not involved with his patients' care. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept any of Dr. Teliki's patients into our practice. However, we can appreciate how difficult it was to lose your primary care physician abruptly. We therefore worked diligently with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS), Doctors Nova Scotia (DNS), Nova Scotia Health (NSH), and other sources since January 2022 to try to find a new permanent physician for Dr. Teliki's patients. Despite our best efforts, this could not be accomplished. There is no longer any physician coverage available at this clinic for Dr. Teliki's patients. 

 

At this time, we can recommend the following:

• From May 23-Sept 16, 2022, you may call our office at 902-425-4990 to book regular medical in-person and phone call visits with Dr. Cheeseman for your medical care. Online booking for Dr. Cheeseman is no longer available.

 

• We advise all of Dr. Teliki’s patients to please call 811 to be placed on the “No physician list” as soon as possible.

 

• We also recommend inquiring about VirtualCareNS with 811. This is a new program that provides virtual care to patients who do not have a family physician.

 

• If you're able to find another primary care provider elsewhere, we encourage you to have your charts transferred to that provider through Docudavit and continue your healthcare with them.

 

• All paper and electronic patient charts can be acquired through Docudavit at 1-888-781-9083. All charting enquiries should be directed to Docudavit. This arrangement was made by Dr. Teliki for his patients prior to his departure. Our office will be unable to provide further information regarding patient charts.

 

• Any further questions or concerns regarding Dr. Teliki’s practice and further recruitment for physician coverage should be directed to Nova Scotia Health Recruitment.
